Jeremy Warmsley and Elizabeth Sankey aka Summer Camp started making noise last year. The duo is partly funded by donations via pledgemusic.com. Their debut lp Welcome To Condale hits stores November 8th.

Summer Camp explains, “Welcome To Condale is our love letter to the days of being a teenager, when everything is so important, and you’re transformed irrevocably by a miserable relationship with a spotty youth called Darren who works at Pizza Hut. We believe that you never really escape that time, for better or for worse. It’s the things you fall in love with then that will stay with you forever. Well, except Darren. Hopefully.”

Warmsley released two solo records before hooking up with Sankley. Sankey is a well-respected journalist and writer, having worked with NME and Platform among others. If you like summery 80’s pop you’re going to love Welcome To Condale. Stream the record ahead of the release date here.

Rolling Stones release the remastered 1978 record Some Girls November 21st. It’s getting much the same treatment we saw with Exile On Main Street last year.

The Super Deluxe version will include a seven-inch single of Beast Of Burden featuring the original sleeve artwork. Both the deluxe and super deluxe packages include a previously unreleased track from the Some Girls sessions called No Spare Parts.

Check out No Spare Parts above. The song was recorded in Paris back in ‘78 and re-discovered by producer Don Was.

Now he’s releasing some of the best performances, on either a 2 CD or 3 DVD set. The Bridge School Concerts has a pretty incredible lineup, with performances from Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, the Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, The Who, Elton John & Leon Russell, and more. The most recent concert happened over the weekend, and it featured an amazing performance of the song “Helpless” by Neil and Arcade Fire.

Atlas Sound is the solo project from Bradford Cox of indie buzz band Deerhunter. Cox’s first solo record, Let The Blind Lead Those Who Can See But Cannot Feel was released in ‘08.

After reading a Beck interview while in the sixth grade, Cox learned he could use the family’s karaoke machine as a multi-track device.

Atlas Sound is Cox continuing to explore the process, his way of using “ideas I can’t make work with a five piece band.”  On this new record he’s created an intimate space you’ll keep going back to.

They’re still on the road in support of their album “Pickin’ Up the Pieces,” and their momentum continues to build. They say their recipe for success is “six killer musicians, five dapper suits, irresistible songs, some serendipity and one vintage organ.”

Fitz and the Tantrums will be back in the Midwest in late November, playing three shows at the Metro (two are already sold out).

Frightened Rabbit are a Scottish band lead by Scott Hutchison. They released their debut Sing The Greys in 2006 and have created some pretty amazing music ever since. The band’s 2008 release The Midnight Organ Fight even scored “Album of the Year” votes from some music critics.

Nobody does a love song better than Frightened Rabbit. They’ve grown since ‘06 adding more complex layered arrangements into the mix.

Hutchison’s strong Scottish vocals and huge choruses have become his signature. The band seem poised for a breakthrough. The Ep includes the song “The Work” featuring vocals from veteran Scottish folksinger Archie Fisher.

Tom Petty will drop a live record November 25th in conjunction with Record Store Day’s Black Friday. The vinyl only release, Kiss My Amps Live, will be a limited-edition pressing of 5000 numbered albums available exclusively through independent retailers.

The record features 6 songs from Mojo recorded live during Petty’s 2010 North American tour, and Sweet William a b-side recorded in 2008.

Each copy purchased will include a unique code that will allow the buyer to also download the album in a hi-fi digital format for free.

After almost a decade The Cranberries are releasing Roses, a new studio album in February. The band worked on much of the new record in Limerick and Toronto with producer Stephen Street.

Lead singer Dolores O’Riordan tells Billboard, “It’s kind of picking up where we left off… The whole thing was very lovely. It really came together really nicely. A lot of the tracks were written without really thinking about it. They just came.”

“It’s really cool, the chemistry,” O’Riordan continued. “It’s really just right. There’s something there when we’re together that’s really good. It’s not something that money can buy. It’s not really something anyone can really emulate. It’s got to do with energy and chemistry and that kind of thing. It’s like putting on a perfect pair of shoes. It just fits.”

T Bone Burnett Presents the Speaking Clock Revue is an album showcasing 11 performances from a benefit concert recorded last year at New York’s Beacon Theatre. Proceeds from the album and the live shows benefit Participant Media, an organization dedicated to supporting arts education.

The lineup includes Elton John, Elvis Costello, Leon Russell, John Mellencamp, Gregg Allman, Ralph Stanley, Jeff Bridges, Neko Case, Jim James, Punch Brothers, Karen Elson and The Secret Sisters. The Speaking Clock Revue features a house band put together by Burnett and led by music director and guitarist Marc Ribot.

“The privacy and the intimacy of the studio afford artists the freedom to create,” Burnett said, “but something thrilling happens in getting away from the machines and into the live communication of real-time storytelling in the larger community. The first tour I went on, my first job in show business, was on The Rolling Thunder Revue, and I’ve come back to that type of collaborative and extraordinarily rewarding experience from time to time.”

The Kooks dropped their 3rd record Junk of the Heart last month and are currently in the middle of a world tour. The band just wrapped the UK leg and are off to take over the rest of Europe before hitting the states next month.

The Kooks recorded the new record in London and New York with Jim Abbiss but then scrapped half the material to hook up with Tony Hoffner who produced the first two records. Lead singer Luke Pritchard felt lost with Abbiss at the helm and brought Hoffner back into the mix to give the band a clear direction and open new doors with production and instrumentation.

Pritchard says, “Musically it’s quite different. It’s a new band, two new guys. The sound of the band has changed quite drastically. Still with the same roots we’ve always had, melody being really important in our band. It’s soul music, the lyrics are quite a lot influenced by what’s gone on… you get to a third album and [have] six or seven years on the road.”
