The Irish aren't known for their cooking
I thought I'd explore my Irish roots and delve into traditional Irish fare. What's it take to whip up a batch of skirts and kidneys?I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Click to watch.
Awesome Ray Davies
I love the Kinks and I always have, so when I heard that Ray Davies was going to play the Riviera Theater in Chicago, I was there! We were lucky enough to get seats in the first row of the balcony so I didn't have to stand for the whole show. Being only 5 feet tall, [...]
Live Music for St. Patty's Day
A lot of bars in the area are offering Irish beers and corned beef and cabbage, but here's a list of St. Patrick's Day parties that offer some live music with an Irish twist....Mark Croft at Quaker Steak and Lube, 3-7pm. The local singer songwriter is not known for his Irish folk ditties...but I know he [...]

But that's exactly what I'm advocating.Okay–he started out as a newspaper guy and then started hosting a long-running variety show on CBS. You know the guy who introduced the [...]
I grew up in Stevens Point, where I am proud to say I was a "free-range" kid, riding my purple Schwinn around the neighborhood, playing Kick-the-Can, and watching a little too much television. (Okay..way too much television). I got my first radio job while still in high school, reporting on exciting news events like water and sewer commission meetings. Away from work, I love going to garage and estate sales (ask me about my talking Charlie the Tuna doll in the original packaging), riding my bike and sampling micro-brews.
you guys are hilarious! And Kitty you sounded JUST like an appraiser on antiques road show, i think all the dumpster diving you do has definitely helped with your accurate appraisal skills.
